Unlawfull Overcharging and Harrassment

Dear Sir,

I want to show my Grievience, Regarding the Manhandling By AutoRickshaw Drivers At Kankanady Railway Station. I had Come on Sunday 4th May, 2008 from Madgaon, on Poorna Express!!. I reached Mangalore around 7:25 Pm. and when we approached the Auto Drivers, they were asking us to give 150 Rs to Carstreet, 325 Rs to Kodical. We had Paid only 100 Rs from Madgaon to Mangalore and on Meter the Auto Charge should be only 47 Rs. But they are charging more than 3 times. 1.5 times is Ok but whats 3 times?? There were a Lot of lady Passengers who had to keep the Luggage in the Rickshaw and later when they hear the charge they had to get down. This is not fair. And the Arrogant Drivers were telling Noone will charge Less Then the Amount what they ask!! and if you ask them the reason, they use Foul Language, and also come to Beat the Passengers.

At Last All the Passengers had to walk down the road which doesnt have Street Lights, Carry their Heavy Luggage, to the main road which is 500Mtrs Away. Gents Customers can Do it, what about Lady passengers?? Is there Anyone who Can Do anything or is this things like this will GO ON Like this for ever??? I have Noted Down a Few Auto Permit Nos. They are 0940, 4350, 1798,5270, 5027. All belonging to ZONE 1. The Autodriver of 5270 and 5027 were very Rough and also coming to beat UP!! I would like to know what action will be taken??
